About Us

Civil Safety was established in 2002 by Managing Director Ben Edgley. Starting in 2002 with just one employee Civil Safety steadily grew from servicing confined space safety equipment locally, to the sale, hiring and servicing of equipment nationwide.

In 2008 the company branched into City & Guilds confined space training; ranging from low to high risk and rescue, First Aid Training and Water Hygiene courses. With these additional services, the company continued to expand and this resulted in moving premises, leaving a shared industrial Unit in Huntingdon, to a multi-functioning modern business Unit on the old RAF Base in Alconbury.

By 2011 due to the success of the confined space training sector the company moved again, this time to Ramsey in Cambridgeshire. This enabled Civil Safety​ to expand its training centre even further and successful Confined Space Rescue teams were introduced. We also acquired and fitted our Mobile Training Vehicle for the utility of providing on-site training courses to businesses across the country.

In 2015 we developed further and added Drainage & Industrial Cleaning to our service portfolio. We provide industrial cleaning & drainage services all over the UK from both our Ramsey and Essex locations and due to continued growth the company divided in October 2018 into two businesses; Civil Safety Drainage LTD and Civil Safety Training and Rescue.

We pride ourselves on family values, we are a very close-knit unit of 25 employees all working together to build a successful brand.
