Chlorination and Disinfection
- Contact Tanks
- Pipework
- Ventilation Systems
- Office Buildings
- Equipment
Our clients has varying resource requirements for each specific cleaning programme which we manage effectively, by providing the right resource to manage the contract and meet the client’s expectations.
Surveys
Prior to the cleaning and chlorinating process, a detailed survey is carried out on each job to asses the specific job requirements, with this we can produce a detailed cost, timetable, Risk Assessments and a Method Statement for each project prior to instruction.
Preparation
Before works begin, a site induction and detailed briefing on the safe system of works will be delivered to the site team. Technical standards documents and toolbox talks are then used to detail the step by step process and standards expected on-site, and the correct hygiene procedures for each project
When works commence, operatives will only enter the work area wearing clean overalls and boots, implementing the most stringent hygiene procedure, which is built on a three-colour coded system:
- Red is used to identify dirty areas
- Green is used to identify cleaning equipment
- Blue is used for disinfected/ready for entry areas
Once a dirty/clean crossover zone has been established, the team on-site prepare a disinfection chloros solution which is distributed into clean plastic spray bottles for the equipment. They also visually inspect all the water jetting/spraying units on-site before each use.
Clean & Chlorination/Disinfection
The process begins with cleaning the entrance/area of the building with the jetting/spraying units, leaving the area/equipment will then be hoovered with a wet vac and wiped down with clean cloths.
Before disinfection commences, the client will isolate the contaminated area and operatives will be made aware of the risk of contaminating adjacent areas. No chlorinated water is to be discharged from the tank without client consent.
Chlorination of all surfaces will be carried out from the ceiling to floor level by a single operative using the spray unit, and a second operative observing that all surfaces are covered. Operatives will then both wipe down all areas and equipment that requires cleaning.
Compliance
All cleaning materials are approved by the client.
Operatives are trained in the use of all cleaning equipment.
Waste products are disposed of properly and are fully traceable.
